Syriac Orthodox Church in India blessed with Three new Metropolitans

Their Graces Mor Julius Elias (Gabriel Ramban), Mor Alexandrios Thomas (Barsoumo ramban/Thomas Nerianthara Kassesso) & Mor Polycarpus Zacharias (Shemavun Ramban/Scaria Kochillom Kassesso) consecrated as metropolitans today at Puthencuriz Cathedral PUTHENCURIZ: Syriac Orthodox Church in India is blessed with three more Metropolitans. His Beatitude Catholicos of India, Dr. Baselios Thomas I consecrated Mor Julius Elias (Gabriel Ramban), Mor Alexandrios Thomas (Thomas Nerianthara Kassisso) & Mor Polycarpus Zacharias (Scaria Kochillom Kassisso) today at St. Athanasius Catholicate Cathedral, Puthencuriz. All Metropolitans of Syriac Orthodox Church in India and Metropolitans from Sister Churches assisted His Beatitude. A public meeting was held at the cathedral premises soon after the consecration to honour newly consecrated metropolitans. His Grace Dr. Joseph Marthoma Metropolitan (Marthoma Syrian Church) was the chief guest. Newly ordained metropolitans are likely to be given charge of Mumbai (Mor Polycarpus Zacharias), Delhi (Mor Alexandrios Thomas) & Kothamangalam Region of Ankamali Diocese (Mor Julius Elias).
